Therapy that goes beyond coping
"I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless. I will not fix you, for you are not broken. I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness, as you remember your light"
What’s the point of therapy, anyways?
So there’s this box…it’s small, it’s rigid, it’s suffocating...
It’s called “normal”, or “acceptable” or “worthy of love and belonging”.
It’s a box you didn’t choose, but inherited
from family, from school, from culture… from all the systems that taught you how to be and how not to be. Even the mental health system.
And because belonging is a core human need, you adapted.
You learned which parts of yourself to hide,
Which parts to soften, shrink, silence, or overcompensate for.
You learned how to live with your too much and your not enough hidden out of sight.
And maybe, from all outward appearances, you seem to be doing fine.
But inside….you’re utterly exhausted, constantly anxious, just barely holding yourself all together, feeling disconnected from your relationships and from yourself.
Something in you is longing for more...
Longing for freedom, for authenticity and for a relationship with yourself that isn’t defined by constant inner conflict.
If no one has told you this before, I want you to hear it:
Healing is not about fitting yourself into the box.
Healing is about restoring yourself to your full, unique expression.
Healing work isn’t a linear path, it’s a spiral:
We are pulled inward by our longings and our triggers.
We meet old wounds with new awareness, new tools, a safe person (like a therapist!).
We release the beliefs, patterns, and pain that are no longer serving us.
We grow, we expand….and…. eventually, discover a new edge that invites us back inside again. And on and on we go, gathering wisdom as we learn to ride the waves of life.
Your symptoms are not flaws that need to be fixed.
They are messages that something within is ready to be witnessed, understood, and brought back into balance.
And “the point” of therapy is that you don’t have to walk that path alone.
My Approach
I believe healing happens in relationship. I’m not here to lecture you about your “negative” thoughts, and I’m not here to passively smile and nod at everything you say. I’m here to build an honest, vulnerable, and above all, safe space for you to be fully seen, fully heard, and fully understood.
As your therapist, I walk alongside you. When your nervous system starts to feel shaky, I am here as your anchor. When the pain of the past overwhelms your present, I am here to help you untangle yourself from your defensive parts so that you can make value-informed choices instead of staying stuck in reactivity. When you need to speak aloud fears, truths, and doubts that you can’t say anywhere else, I am here to listen.
My style is informed by:
Evidence-based therapies like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches that help to address trauma in real, lasting ways.
Holistic practices that honor the cycles of life, the wisdom of the body, your interconnectedness with your community, and your inner resilience.
I specialize in PMDD and trauma of all kinds, whether it’s one life-altering moment or years of small heartbreaks that left you stuck in survival mode. I know how those wounds echo into adulthood, shaping relationships, fueling anxiety, and keeping you trapped in old patterns.
I won’t force you into a rigid idea of wellness. Instead, I’ll help you tune back into your own inner compass, because you already carry the wisdom you need. My role is simply to guide you home to yourself, again and again, until you build a relationship with yourself that is based in security, trust, and compassion.
